New wheels

Mom made the decision a while back that she would keep Darby at our house during the winter months. She didn't want to make the baby get out in the cold and risk her getting sick. Turns out we really didn't have much to fret about because we had such a mild winter this year. Anywho... we're getting pretty close to making the switch where Darby spends a majority of her daytime hours at Gramma's house. We already had a pack-n-play set up over at Mom's so that we could safely lay her down any time we were over there. And Mom already had a set of baby monitors that I bought a couple of years ago. (We set them up in Daddy's bedroom so she could hear him if he needed her and she happened to be on the other end of the house.) And she of course had extra diapers and formula for when Darby needs to be changed or fed. But what Mom really needed was something fun. So one night she stopped by Wal-Mart and bought Darby a toy that would stay at Gramma's house. We already had a swing, bouncy seat, exersaucer and jumper.... but we didn't have a walker yet. Can't say that anymore! I put it together last Saturday and when we sat her down it it we could tell that she loved it! We popped in some cartoons for her to watch and she was happy as a clam.... for at least a little while anyway.

When she stretches and stands up straight she can touch her toes to the floor. We have to put her in the kitchen for her to be able to move (the carpet is a little to thick for the little wheels) and right now she can only move herself backwards. It's pretty cute. Before long she'll be running all over the house in that thing!
